| The current challenges faced by Schools
Parents, classroom teachers, PE specialists and SENCOs are reporting a continual rise in the number of children showing difficulties with their: |

||||||||||||||||||
As these abilities form some of the essential building blocks to performing physically and learning successfully, this often translates into children experiencing multiple difficulties in PE, games and sport, and in the classroom. Most schools recognise the need for specialist support but find it's increasingly hard to come by, and additional resources can be expensive. It has been shown that many children with learning problems make significant improvements after following a physiological movement development programme, but in most schools, teachers and support staff leading PE lessons have not had sufficient training in this vital area. |

| An ocean of knowledge to help children succeed | ||||||||||||||||||
Happily, there is a vast ocean of knowledge that can be used to help support all children's development, from such diverse fields as; movement science, physical therapy, stress release, bio-feedback, neuroscience, infant and postural reflex integration, educational kinesiology, sensory integration, emotional intelligence, mind-body visualisation therapy, behavioural optometry, physical education and play. Much of this work rests on the very close relationship of senses, body and mind, and the impact that movement, physical, mental and emotional techniques have on our cognitive ability. ActEi brings the jewels from this ocean of knowledge to be used on the shore by schools and parents in an easy, fun, and fully planned format that respects the constraints on their time. |

| How ActEi can make a difference | ||||||||||||||||||
Because ActEi is fun, it's enjoyed by almost all children, especially those of primary school age. However, at ActEi's core are the specialised techniques and movements activities which activate the sensory system, stimulate neurological development, and harmonise communication between the emotions, mental processes and the body. For this reason they are especially beneficial for children of all ages who struggle. Some of these children have been clearly identified as having special educational needs, but there are many others whose development has not yet quite integrated the necessary physical or mental skills to succeed at school. |

The difference ActEi makes is that in each session focuses on one particular area of development, bringing each child through a process of physical activation, relaxed exploration of the sensation this brings, and then integrating this into their mind and body system, and eventually, their skill set. Another special feature of ActEi is that it is holistic. There is a deliberate focus on experiences involving co-operation and community, introspection and expression, communicating ideas and experiences verbally and non-verbally, and on empowering children to experience self awareness and awareness of others. |
